How to Accept Islam

All praise be to Allah, many people have accepted Islam at IB over the years. Many chose to take part in a public shahadah (testimony of faith) ceremony; however, it can also be done privately for those wishing to do so.

Becoming a Muslim is a simple and easy process.  All that a person must do is to say the shahada, which is pronounced as:

“Laa ilaaha illa Allah, Muhammad ar rasool lullah.”

These Arabic words mean:

“There is no one worthy of worship accept Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger (Prophet) of Allah.”

Once a person says the shahadah with conviction and understanding its meaning, then he/she has become a Muslim!
